RR40: the Rally Racing icon returns to the road

OZ Racing brings back one of the most recognisable designs in its motorsport history to the Aftermarket range. RR40 is born: a wheel that carries four decades of competition heritage into a contemporary form, true to its identity and ready for today’s road.

There are icons that do not belong to the past. They remain alive, unmistakable, capable of crossing time without losing their intensity. With RR40, OZ Racing brings back to the road one of the most authentic expressions of its heritage: a design born in motorsport, etched into the memory of enthusiasts, and now returning to the Aftermarket range with the strength of something that has never stopped speaking the language of performance.

RR40 inherits the legacy of Rally Racing, one of the most emblematic expressions of OZ history. Since 1986, this design has equipped cars that have become part of competition folklore, from the Audi 80 at the Acropolis Rally, which delivered OZ its first overall title, to Carlos Sainz’s Toyota Celica, and icons such as the Lancia Delta Integrale, Alfa Romeo 155 DTM, BMW E30 DTM, Ford Sierra and Escort Cosworth. A forty-year journey that now takes shape once again in a product created for those who see far more than a simple component in a wheel.

The RR40 project was born from a clear challenge: to bring the original Rally Racing design back to life with absolute respect for its signature styling cues. The small spokes with their distinctive inward profile remain at the heart of the design, while the central ring of holes adds a technical, contemporary touch that lightens the structure and reinforces its character. The result is a successful balance between memory and presence: an icon that remains true to itself while fitting perfectly into the present.

Like every OZ Racing product, RR40 is deeply rooted in technology transfer from competition to the road. Manufactured through a Low Pressure process and using Al Si 7 material, it combines certified strength with a strong focus on lightness in a technical package fully consistent with the brand’s tradition. TPMS compatibility, support for Run Flat technology and TÜV, NAD, VIA and JWL certifications all confirm a precise vision: for OZ Racing, technical credibility is never a secondary detail, but an integral part of product identity.

The project is completed by details that speak the OZ language with complete naturalness, starting with the OZ Racing Carbon Fiber center cap and extending to the two finishes available: Race White + Red Lettering and Hyper Titanium + Silver Lettering. Two different interpretations of the same attitude: one more radical and openly racing-inspired, the other more technical, darker and contemporary.

RR40 is already available in the OZ Racing Aftermarket range.
